What do you want to accomplish? At times, people answer this question rather superficially. Although there is nothing wrong in simply earning an honest wage to provide for your needs. However, there is something inside us, something that drives us. That urge you bring with you day in and day out. The inspiration you carry that you want for yourself or even for your family. That spark inside you that you simply wanted to share it to the rest of the world. It may be through writing a poem, a story, a song, finishing your painting, capturing an image, or simply creating a collage of pictures.

But at times, you will be tested. People would test you to be exact. They would question you. Criticize your dreams. Dictate your life on how they wanted you to be. And this hurts. It compromises your beliefs, your whole being, and even your dreams. Your family would tell you to shelf your dream and pick up something that would help the family. People you care about would tell you to set aside what you love and tell you to be practical.

It is devastating! The pain lingers in you. That passion you sought to fight for now is being tested. You fight for it, defend it your whole life, and even sacrifice relationships. This is to accomplish that one thing you love the most simply. People would slowly desert you and leave you. They would start to lose hope in you and tell you you are already a lost cause.

But whatever happens, you must promise yourself. Promise yourself never to let go. Do not give up on your dream! Complete that novel. Display that masterpiece. Finish the song! Fight to your last breath. It is never too late for you to achieve your dream. You have come this far. It is best that you finish it and see the end result of your dream. Do it happy. Do it sad. Do it heartbroken. Do it angry. Just do it!
